Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)–Editor’s Note: We continue our reporting on news from police reports. Besides covering the many stories from around Park Forest that otherwise might go unnoticed, we want to bring more complete coverage of police reports than is reported by other local media.

An arrest does not mean that a person is guilty. All those arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty. It is the policy of eNews Park Forest to not remove items in the public record from publication. Police were dispatched to a residence in the 3200 block of Western Avenue on November 25 to investigate a domestic battery complaint. Police have suspect information and are investigating.

A cell phone was reported stolen from a student at Rich East High School on November 27.

Christopher L. Washington, 27, 512 Michigan St., Hammond, IN, was arrested on December 1 and charged with domestic battery, criminal damage to property, and unlawful interference with the reporting of domestic violence when police responded to the 100 block of Hemlock Street to investigate a report of domestic battery.

An Apple iPod Touch valued at $232.19 was reported stolen from the porch of a residence in the 100 block of Warwick Street on December 2. The package had been delivered to the home and left on the porch by the delivery driver.

A women’s size 5 gold and silver diamond ring valued at $4200 was reported stolen from a residence in the 300 block of Onarga Street on December 2. Police have suspect information and are investigating.

A white iPhone 5S valued at $700 was reported stolen from a student’s locker at Forest Trail Middle School, 215 Wilson Street, on December 3.

A white 2007 MacBook laptop, an Xbox 360 game system, and a Grande Theft Auto Xbox 360 videogame was reported stolen from a residence in the 300 block of North Orchard Drive during a residential burglary on December 4.

A juvenile was arrested on December 4 and processed on two counts of battery, resisting a peace officer, and retail theft when police were dispatched to a business in the 100 block of South Orchard Drive to investigate a retail theft in progress.

Brian Murphy, 51, 920 W. 193rd Pl., Chicago Heights, was arrested on December 4 and charged with possession of a controlled substance and issued a ticket siding improper parking on a roadway when police were dispatched to the intersection of Forest Boulevard and Norwood Boulevard in reference to a report of a person passed out and slumped over the wheel inside a vehicle. Police say when they arrived they discovered the vehicle Murphy had been driving in the middle of the intersection with the front passenger-side tire completely flat. The vehicle’s gear selector was in "Park," according to police. The vehicle was impounded, according to police.

Police responded to the first block of Indianwood Boulevard to investigate a residential burglary on December 5. Police say they were told the residence had been burglarized on December 3 and a basement window had been shattered with glass left on the basement floor.

A catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle parked in the first block of Park Street on December 5.

Police responded to investigate a residential burglary in the first block of Monee Road on December 5. Police say the rear door of the residence had been struck with an unknown object and forced open. The door frame was splintered and the wood around the lock was damaged, according to police. Nothing appeared to be missing from the residence, according to police.

A catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle parked in the 200 block of Dogwood Street on December 5.

A gold 2005 Ford Freestar, Illinois license plate 9136999, was reported stolen from outside a residence in the 300 block of Merrimac Street on December 7.
