Park Forest, IL-(ENEWSPF)- Police say a resident who lives in the 300 block of Winnebago Street was the victim of an aggravated armed robbery on October 21.
Police say the resident told them he arrived at his home shortly before 1 AM, exited his vehicle, and was approached by 3 or 4 male black subjects who were walking down the street. According to the victim, the subjects were between the ages of 14 and 16, all wearing dark-colored clothing. The man recalls the teenagers saying, "Don’t fight it," and "You don’t want to feel the steel." The subjects then allegedly began to attack the resident, punching and kicking him in the head and back. While being battered, police say the resident observed one of the subjects, who was wearing a red baseball cap, remove a dark-colored revolver from his pocket. The subject then allegedly struck the resident several times in the head and face with the revolver. The other subjects had him down and removed his wallet, after which they fled westbound on Winnebago Street on foot.
The man entered his house and called police.
Police say the victim had severe lacerations on his forehead and underneath his right eye. Police also observed swelling throughout the man’s face and head.

After reinterviewing the victim due to several inconsistincies, the victim recanted his story and admitted that he was robbed in Robbins and not in Park Forest. A follow up report was completed. Any questions, you can contact me at the police department. Thank you, Det. Piszczor
