Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)– The UP Women’s Fall General Meeting will be held on Wednesday, November 5th 9:30 a.m. at Faith Church, 10 Hemlock, Park Forest. The program will feature Chris Hopkins presenting WALKING THE LABYRINTH. Chris is a woman passionately interested in the world her children and grandchildren are living in. She strives for compassion and beauty and believes that to care for our planet (and beyond) is a religious and spiritual necessity.
Chris received her BS in nursing from the College of St. Teresa, Winona, Minnesota and a M.Div. from the Catholic Theological Union in Chicago. Married to Bill for 32 years, she has worked as a Pastoral Associate for 5 years and the Director of the Emmaus Formation for Ministry at CTU for 3 years. She is also a certified Spiritual Director.
Besides working with the Labyrinth, Chris currently facilitates meditation/mindfulness retreats and small groups engaged with the New Universe Story, Scripture Study, and Women’s Spirituality. All interested people will be warmly welcomed to Faith Church to hear her on November 5th.
