Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)– Main Street Nights entertainment continues Wednesday with Frank Birdsall at 7:00 p.m. and the Flat Cats beginning at 7:45 p.m.
Birdsall, a two-time national unicycle champ, will entertain with juggling, stilt-walking, comedy and magic. Birdsall sometimes combines his skills, "I am a two time national unicycle champion in trick-riding and also an accomplished stilt-walker. I am able to both stilt-walk and ride a unicycle simultaneously, or should I say stilt-ride."
Birdsall has been performing for over twenty years.
The Flat Cats’ blend of vintage and modern music including the hottest swing jazz, jump blues, steamy standards, modern classic and toe-tapping western swing. The group has performed at many different venues and events throughout the Midwest, among them Navy Pier, the Arcada Theater in St. Charles, IL, the Willowbrook Ballroom in Willow Springs, IL, the Pete Miller’s restaurants, Green Dolphin Street, and the Summerdance series in Grant Park. The band has backed legendary singing groups such as the Drifters, the Crystals, Peggy March, and the Marcels, as part of the Ultimate Doo-Wop show at venues such as the Chicago Theatre, Star Plaza Theater, and the Pabst Theater.
Members of the group include vocalist Amber Dawn, Jon Kostal on Tenor Sax, Kevin Gawthorp on the Baritone Sax, Stuart Olsen III playing Electric Guitar, Nathan Kawaller on Bass and Barry Rose tapping the Drums.
