While there remain deep political divisions among Americans on guns, Benjamin Thomas Wolf believes unanimity can be reached for solutions on the appalling mass-shootings which have plagued the country, including last week’s murders at a High School in Florida.

In response to the deadly Florida school shooting last weekend, Benjamin Thomas Wolf has released a campaign video where he exhibits and loads an AR-15 assault rifle in an effort to showcase its danger.

“There is no place in modern American society for assault weapons. An AR-15 is the same weapon I carried in Iraq and it’s also the same weapon system used by the Florida shooter, the Las Vegas shooter and many school shooters before them. They are public safety risk. Period.” said Wolf.

Having spent years abroad in war-zones in Iraq and Africa Wolf has seen firsthand the devastation that assault weapons can bring if they fall into the wrong hands. He goes on in detail in his video to discuss the optics, the bullets and the magazines, making arguments that “assault weapons are made simply to kill humans and should not be available to civilians.”

“As a federal agent, I carried a gun for over two decades and as a current gun owner, I know the importance of protecting the Second Amendment right to owning a firearm. I strongly believe in the right to protect homes, families, and property but also believe in common sense gun reform.”

If elected, Wolf will look to propose legislation in a district which has yet to see its sitting congressman successfully sponsor and pass any bills.
