To support one still recovering, an officer facing months of rehabilitation.
Officer Timothy Jones, #204, the only person who could not make the party.
Officers from surrounding jurisdictions, including Olympia Fields, joined members of the Park Forest Police and Fire Departments in a fundraiser for Officer Tim Jones. Hosted at the Olympia Fields McDonald’s at Western Avenue and Route 30, the festivities included a performance by the Rich Central Band and Ronald McDonald himself.
Perhaps “festivities” is too strong a word, but the number of people present, the number of people who kept arriving, gave a community hope, gave a local police department hope, gave us all hope that this young officer would walk the beat again.
