Shots Fired on Hemlock Street

Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)– Detectives are investigating an incident that occurred on January 18 just before 1:24 a.m. when several officers were dispatched to a residence in the 100 block of Hemlock Street to investigate numerous complaints of shots fired.

When police arrived, they were advised that several male black subjects were running northbound from the residence. Five male subjects running from the scene were caught by responding officers and taken into custody for questioning.

Police spoke with witnesses who were leaving the residence in question who related that there was a party at the residence and two male subjects attempted to get into the party. According to the witnesses, because so many patrons were already at the party, the two who had just arrived were not permitted inside. Inside the residence, Corporal LoSchiavo recovered one .380 caliber shell casing on the floor of the living room. The inside doorframe of the residence was pulled away from the door. A vehicle parked in the driveway had also sustained damage to the hood from a gunshot.

The incident and evidence gathered were turned over to detectives for further investigation.
