WASHINGTON, D.C.–(ENEWSPF)–June 14, 2012. Today U.S. Senator Mark Kirk (R-Ill.) continued his call for the release of Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani, an Iranian dissident jailed for his religious beliefs, by releasing a video highlighting the issue. To view the video click here.
Pastor Nadarkhani is included as part of Senator Kirk’s Iranian Dissident Awareness Program (IDAP), an international awareness campaign that serves to highlight the victims of human rights abuses under the current Iranian regime. To learn more about IDAP and its members click here.
In March, Senator Kirk joined Senator David Vitter (R-La.) as an original cosponsor of a resolution, S. Res. 385, which condemns the government of Iran for its continued persecution, imprisonment and sentencing of Pastor Nadarkhani for his religious beliefs.
