Chicago Heights, IL-(ENEWSPF)- Registration for the spring 2021 semester is open at Prairie State College (PSC), with flexible options, convenient start dates, and various meeting patterns to accommodate students’ availability and the different ways they prefer to experience online learning. Through Dec. 11, 2020, and again from Jan. 4 to Jan. 29, 2021, appointments can be booked during Virtual Rapid Registration, an online option for those who want to meet with an advisor or speak with someone in enrollment services, financial aid, or the business office.

Continuing and prospective students seeking a degree or certificate can enroll in 16-, 14-, 12- and eight-week courses. The 16-week and first eight-week courses begin Jan. 11. Classes for the 14-week session begin Jan. 25. The 12-week courses begin Feb. 18, and the second eight-week session begins Mar. 15.

Spring courses will be held primarily online and offered in one of three ways. Classes are listed on WebAdvisor and marked to identify how instruction will be delivered.

IN: online courses with no meeting pattern

MP: online with a meeting pattern

BL: Blended courses that require labs or practicum.

Instructors will notify students of their lab schedule. More information is provided in the online Enrollment Guide at prairiestate.edu/courseschedule.

To register for credit courses, new students must first complete an enrollment application online at prairiestate.edu. Once the application is submitted, instructions will be sent through email with the next steps. Continuing students can register for credit courses on WebAdvisor or request an appointment online. Staff members are available by phone, email, or video call. Appointments can be made through Qless, a queue management system that allows students to wait remotely and receive a call or video conference on their mobile device or computer.

The payment deadline for the spring semester is Dec. 8. Students must pay in full or have a payment plan in place on or before the deadline. Contact [email protected] for more information. The Foundation Scholarship Application is now open for those who need assistance with tuition and textbooks. Learn more at prairiestate.edu/foundation
