CHICAGO HEIGHTS–(ENEWSPF)–February 27, 2017. Prairie State College (PSC) is hosting a Veterans Resources Fair from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Thursday, March 9, in the Prairie Center on the college’s main campus at 202 S. Halsted St. in Chicago Heights. Admission to the event is free.
Attendees will be able to talk with representatives from various organizations that provide services to veterans, including benefits counseling and legal assistance. Information about employment and volunteer opportunities and other community resources also will be available.
Among the organizations participating are VFW Post 311, VFW, National Able, Cook County Department of Veterans Affairs, Com Ed, Cook County Recorder of Deeds, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Illinois Department of Employment Security, Illinois State Treasurer, TCF Bank, Illinois Office of the Attorney General, and Will County Veterans Commission.
