Union Trades Career Information Fair to be Hosted at Prairie State College on June 14

CHICAGO HEIGHTS–(ENEWSPF)–May 22, 2017. Prairie State College (PSC) is hosting a Union Trades Career Information Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 14, in the Atrium of the college’s main campus, located at 202 S. Halsted St. in Chicago Heights. Parking for attendees is available in the college’s parking lot on the south west corner of Vollmer Rd. and Halsted St.

Attendees will learn about union trades and how they can help in the pursuit of a new career. Many union trades and apprenticeship programs already have signed up to participate. Organizations interested in participating can register until June 1 at https://f8s.co/1usl.

The fair is made possible by the support of the South Suburban Mayors & Managers Association, the Chicago Southland Economic Development Corporation, the Illinois Department of Employment Security, National Able Network and the Construction Industry Service Corporation. Individual supporters of the fair include Senator Mike Hastings, Senator Toi Hutchinson, and Senator Donne Trotter, as well as Illinois State Representatives Anthony DeLuca, Marcus Evans, Jr. and Elgie Sims, Jr. Also supporting are Congresswoman Robin Kelly and Congressman Dan Lipinski, as well as Bloom Township Supervisor TJ Somer and Cook County Board Commissioner Ed Moody. Lead organizers for the fair are Jeff Morden and Donna Miller.
