Union Street Gallery Artists on Display at PSC

Chicago Heights, IL–(ENEWSPF)– Synergy, Works by Union Street Artists, is a diverse collection of drawings, paintings, mixed media, and sculpture pieces by nine of the resident studio artists of Union Street Gallery. Synergy will be on display from June 21- July 29 in the Prairie State College (PSC) Christopher Art Gallery, located on the college’s main campus, 202 S. Halsted St., Chicago Heights. An opening reception will be held on Thursday, June 24 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Ranging from hyper-realistic portrait to expressive landscape, from symbolic assemblage to complex abstraction and illusory still life, the works represent concentrated areas of focus for each individual artist.

“The exhibit as a whole suggests the depth and breadth of the group’s creative concerns, experience, and language of expression,” said Claudia Craemer, curator of the exhibit. “Collectively, the works convey delight in nature, faith in change, joy in the human spirit, and an ongoing investigation of meanings, materials and processes for making art.”

Artists featured in the exhibit are Claudia Craemer, Pam Eberlin, Linda Haynes, Eve Jensen, Patty McWilliams, Renee Klyczek Nordstrom, Ginny Raftery, Jean Schuster, and Marikay Peter Witlock.

Hours for the Christopher Art Gallery are Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Wednesday and Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. Visits can be made by appointment.
