Talala Elementary Haunted House To Collect For Local Food Pantries

Haunts Against Hunger
Help the Talala Elementary School PTO ‘Haunt Against Hunger.’ (SUPPLIED)

Park Forest, IL-(ENEWSPF)- A note from Kimberly Schaefer of the Talala Elementary School PTO:

To Whom this May Concern;

I am writing to ask for your assistance with a community event Talala elementary School PTO is sponsoring this month.

Our group has been very involved in serving the community and last year our PTO partnered with an organization called Haunts Against Hunger. The goal was to collect non-perishable items for local pantries to help feed families who need help in the community. Talala PTO collected 450 items and donated them to the Rich Township Food Pantry. Since we were new to the concept we feel that our second year would be even more helpful as we have seen the current economic time affect our Talala families. This year we are collecting for Rich Township and Monee Township food pantries and we have increased our goal is to collect 1000 items. We are sure we can accomplish this goal with your help!

Our organization has planned a Haunted House on Friday, October 28, 2011 from 6:30-9:00 pm to help our cause to feed families. We are using this event to help bring more items to the pantry.

Please feel free to contact me either by email or phone, 708-283-4190 with any questions or concerns.

We look forward to working with you on this community event.
