Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)– Rich East High School, 300 Sauk Trail, Park Forest, hosted the IHSA State Organizational Contest, on Saturday, April 16, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There were a total of 11 schools represented, including all three Rich Township School District 227 schools.
Admission to this contest was free and was open to the public. All Band performances were be held in the Main Gym, and all choral groups performed in the Auditorium.
“For those whom have been with the district for a number of years, I believe that this is the first time any of the schools in our district have hosted something like this in IHSA history,” Sanders said. “It is a wonderful opportunity to showcase our Rich East band, our school and music in general. I think this should definitely not be the last one that we host.”
