CHICAGO HEIGHTS–(ENEWSPF)–April 4, 2016. Registration is open for [email protected], the Prairie State College (PSC) summer program for children. The program is new and improved with week-long classes, new times, and new topics. Children ages 5 to 13 can enjoy innovative and creative, hands-on learning with weekly themes. Curriculum is focused on STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics) activities.
Classes are being held Monday through Thursday, June 20 through July 28, at the Matteson Area Center, located at 4821 Southwick Dr. in Matteson. No classes will be held on Fridays. Before and after care is available for registered participants, from 7:30 to 8 a.m. and 4 to 5 p.m.
This year’s weekly themes include “NASA Space Explorers,” from June 20 through 23; “Mad Scientists,” from June 27 through 30; “Adventure Unleashed,” from July 5 through 7; “We Have a Dream,” from July 11 through 14; “Amazing Artists,” from July 18 through 21; and “Mysteries Galore,” from July 25 through 28.
Students are welcome to register for one week at a time, or for all six weeks. Participants who register for the full six weeks will receive the last week free.
