PSC to Hold Info Night for Parents and Students

Chicago Heights, IL–(ENEWSPF)– Recent high school graduates who recognize the benefits of starting their college education close to home or those graduates still exploring their next step have several options to begin their bachelor’s degree or train for a career at Prairie State College (PSC). To learn more, students and their parents are invited to attend Info Night.

Info Night is a one stop shop for students and parents to learn more about transfer degrees and majors, career programs, financial aid, scholarships, athletics, and student life.

Info Night will be held on Wednesday, August 5, from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Business and Community Education Center, located on PSC’s main campus, 202 S. Halsted St., Chicago Heights. Info Night is an open house; parents and students can stop by anytime from 5 to 7 p.m. and stay until they get the information they need and their questions answered from the college’s faculty, staff, and administrators.

“Info Night is a great way to learn about the advantages of a PSC education,” said Beth Wyack, enrollment advisor. “Parents and students will find that PSC is affordable and has something for everyone.”

Those who can’t attend Info Night are encouraged to meet with an academic advisor; no appointment is necessary. Registration for fall classes is ongoing, and classes begin August 24. Hours for the Counseling and Academic Advising Center are Monday through Thursday, from 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. For more information about Info Night, call Wyack at (708) 709-7776 or e-mail [email protected].
