Prairie State College (PSC) is unveiling the ProvenIT Conference Room during a special ribbon cutting ceremony at 5 p.m., Thursday, April 12, in the Conference Center at the college, located at 202 S. Halsted St. in Chicago Heights. Thanks to a generous donation to the PSC Foundation from ProvenIT, the room is getting a new and improved look for the tens of thousands of visitors using the college’s facilities for events each year.
Attendees of the ribbon cutting are welcome to join the college for its 60th Anniversary Community Celebration, featuring the communities of Tinley Park and Olympia Fields, which immediately follows the ceremony. Event RSVP is requested by April 5 at www.prairiestate.edu/pscis60.
The sponsorship also makes ProvenIT a partner sponsor of the PSC Foundation, and includes named sponsorship of various Foundation annual activities, including the Economic Forecast Breakfast scheduled for April 20, the Annual Scholarship Classic Golf Outing on June 4, and the Annual Gala scheduled on Oct. 20. The sponsorship also provides a deserving PSC student with a Foundation scholarship each year. The sponsorship is effective for 10 years.
“Not only does this donation help the college enhance the facilities that we make available to our community members to rent for special occasions, conferences, and performances, but it also will help provide support for the college’s number one priority – our students,” said PSC President Dr. Terri L. Winfree.
