Prairie State College Sustainability Center Invites Kids to ‘Go Green’ During April 22 Event


CHICAGO HEIGHTS–(ENEWSPF)–April 17, 2017. In recognition of Earth Day 2017, the Sustainability Center at Prairie State College (PSC) is hosting a special event for children, “Kids@College Go Green!”

The Saturday, April 22 event is scheduled from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Matteson Area Center (MAC) at 4821 Southwick Dr. All activities are free and open to kids ages four to 13.

Participants will experience hands-on activities, science experiments and art projects to take home, as well as a special visit from the Matteson Fire Department. Healthy snacks also will be included. The day’s activities will highlight the themes from the Kids@College summer program, which is scheduled at the MAC from June 19 through Aug. 3.

PSC is committed to improving and protecting the environment while promoting fiscal and social responsibility.
