Chicago Heights, IL-(ENEWSPF)- Prairie State College (PSC) President Dr. Eric Radtke announced his retirement today at the college’s annual spring convocation. His retirement is effective August 3, 2013, allowing sufficient time for the Board of Trustees to conduct a search for a successor, according to a news release published by the school.
“This is something that I have been planning for quite some time, I am retiring to spend more time with my family and to pursue personal interests,” Radtke said.
The announcement was made during the college’s spring convocation, the annual two hour meeting held prior to the start of each semester. During convocation the college is closed so that all faculty and staff can meet to discuss past accomplishments and plans for the upcoming semester.
PSC is located in Chicago Heights and serves approximately 12,000 credit and non-credit students.
