New Directions for Returning Adults Information Session Scheduled at Prairie State College on August 12

CHICAGO HEIGHTS—(ENEWSPF)—July 28, 2014. Prairie State College (PSC) is hosting a New Directions information session for returning adult students from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 12, in the Conference Center on the college’s main campus, located at 202 S. Halsted St. in Chicago Heights.

The event is designed to ease the transition for adults who are returning to college after an absence or enrolling in college for the first time several years after graduating high school.

“At Prairie State College, we understand that just starting college or returning to school after several years out of high school can be overwhelming,” said Diane Janowiak, director of advising and disability services at PSC. “We formed the New Directions information session to help make that transition easier.”

Returning adult students should attend New Directions to find out more about the many academic programs and resources available at PSC. Individuals who attend the New Directions information session will be entered into a drawing for a free, three-credit hour class good for one year.
