Chicago Heights, IL–(ENEWSPF)– Members of the Marian Catholic Service Club baked pumpkin bread to distribute to senior citizens through the Kids Who Care organization. Sr. Dorothy Marie, O.P., has directed the mixing, baking, and wrapping process for several years.

“Working with Marian parent Sandy Schramm from Kids Who Care has been great. It’s always an enjoyable experience watching the students bake pumpkin bread. They have a good time working together even though they may have different skill levels in the kitchen,” she said.

Most of the ingredients for this year’s baking project were donated by Marian parent Kathleen Jameson. 98% of Marian Catholic students participate in a variety of service projects throughout the year.

Other students participating but not pictured include: Miloni Hernandez ’11, Kalila Harris ’11, Austin Konzen ’12, Ashley Pradhan ’12, Brittany Stewart ’11, Jovonna Dickerson ’11, Danny Jameson ’11, Emma Young ’12, Mike Macuga ’13, Niccole Nelson ’12, and Kelly Gregorovic ’12, along with faculty member Carol Lanier.
