GSU Seeks Public Comment for Accreditation Review


University Park, IL–(ENEWSPF)– In November, Governors State University will undergo a comprehensive evaluation visit by a team representing the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. GSU has been accredited by the Commission since 1975. The team will review the university’s ongoing ability to meet the Commission’s Criteria for Accreditation.

Continuation of its accreditation will allow GSU to continue to offer an academically excellent university education at the bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degree levels.

As part of this process, the Commission is seeking public comments about the university. Comments must address substantive matters related to the quality of the university or its academic programs and should include your name, address, and telephone number of the submitting individual. Comments will not be treated as confidential.

Comments must be received by the Commission by October 12, 2009. Those received after that date may not be considered.
