Governors State University’s To Hold ‘Admitted Student Day’ For Accepted Freshmen

University Park, IL-(ENEWSPF)- Governors State University will hold Admitted Student Day Wednesday, July 16, from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m.  to give accepted freshman an opportunity to learn more about what going to school at GSU would be like.

Admitted Student Day offers freshman already accepted to GSU a chance to get additional information about financial aid and on-campus housing options. It is also a chance for them to meet their academic advisors who will help guide them through their first two years.

In fall of 2014, GSU will transition to a four-year university by welcoming its first freshman class. The 270 freshmen will be grouped into three cohorts of 90 students apiece and take at least three classes together. Academics for freshmen will center on three themes: civic engagement, global citizenship and sustainability.
