University Park, IL-(ENEWSPF)- Beginning in the Spring 2013 semester, the College of Business and Public Administration at Governors State University will offer a fully online, accelerated Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Supply Chain Management.
The Supply Chain Management MBA provides tomorrow’s executives with the strong business foundation needed to compete in a global market. This high quality, fully accredited MBA program takes only 17 months to complete. It is offered exclusively online in a highly interactive cohort format taught by accessible and dedicated full-time faculty who are experts in their fields.
Rapid changes in the economy and technology, and the globalization of markets have increased the importance of effective supply chain management in organizations. Supply Chain Management MBA graduates will possess a strong business foundation and familiarity with the cutting-edge theories and practices essential to addressing supply chain management issues.

In 2011, the average salary for supply chain managers exceeded $100,000 while salaries for supply chain vice presidents and general managers exceeded $167,000 according to the recent 2011 Logistics Management Salary Survey.
GSU’s Supply Chain Management MBA program teaches the analytical and problem-solving skills required of managers and executives. The curriculum focuses on forecasting and supply chain optimization as well as sourcing and procurement.
