Film Screening and Discussion of ‘Not My Life’ at Governors State on March 11


University Park, Ill.—(ENEWSPF)–February 28, 2014 – On March 11, in conjunction with Women’s History Month, Governors State University will host a special, free screening of “Not My Life,” a film about human trafficking and modern slavery on a global scale. The film is directed by Robert Bilheimer.

The screening will be followed by a panel discussion, which will focus on the effects of human trafficking on women in Illinois. Panelists will include Farah Baqai, activist and politician and representatives from the Chicago Alliance Against Sexual Exploitation and Chicago Dream Center.

The program will be held in the Governors State University Center for Performing Arts from 5-7:30 p.m. It is free and open to the public. The event is sponsored by the GSU Intellectual Life Committee, Office of International Services, Toastmasters and Lambda Pi Eta.
