Distinguished Lecture by ‘Flow’ Director


University Park, IL-(ENEWSPF)- Governors State University is hosting a distinguished lecture in conjunction with the performance of “Flow” at the Center for Performing Arts.

Sonita L. Surratt, director of “Flow,” will appear with cast members and GSU English Professor Rashidah Muhammad on Wednesday, November 9, at 5 p.m., in Engbretson Hall. They will discuss the powerful narrative that runs through “Flow” and the meaning behind the play.

 The distinguished lecture is free and open to the public. It is sponsored by the College of Arts and Sciences. Governors State University is located at 1 University Parkway, University Park, Illinois. For more information, call (708) 534-4552.

The eta Creative Arts Foundation production of “Flow” has received rave reviews with director Sonita L. Surratt’s production earning praise for its passion and energy. “Flow” is the first in the Center for Performing Arts’ “One More Night” series, which brings the best in Chicago theater to GSU. “One More Night” is made possible by a generous grant from the Chicago Community Trust.
