University Park, IL–(ENEWSPF)– What better way to celebrate St. Valentine’s Day than by sharing the love?
Students in the Social Work Student Organization (SWSO) at Governors State University are sponsoring “Share the Love,” collecting diapers for families in need, between January 24 and February 24.
"One in three American families has to choose between buying diapers or buying food for their families,” said Tamara Lewis of Chicago, SWSO public relations coordinator. “The members of the SWSO thought a diaper drive would be a great way to bring awareness to this diaper need."
Diaper donations can be made to designated boxes at Governors State University, 1 University Parkway, University Park, and at the First Church of the Nazarene, 219 S. Central, Gilman. Diapers will be given to the South Suburban Family Shelter in Homewood and Women of Power in Chicago.
