Chicago Heights, IL-(ENEWSPF)- Marian Catholic High School released the names of its AP Scholars. Scores for Advanced Placement exams students took in the spring of 2017 were released over the summer.
The school consistently ranks among the best in the Chicagoland area, and recently had 81 students named AP Scholars by the College Board in recognition of exceptional achievement on the college-level Advanced Placement Exams.
AP Scholars from Park Forest include Raven Brzeszkiewicz ’17, Keyara Hampton ’17, and Michael Wolfe ’18. These students received scores of 3 or higher on three or more AP Exams.
Quinn Kirchner ’18 and Anna Pechtel ’17, also of Park Forest, were granted the title of Scholars with Honor. They received an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams.
Most of the Marian AP Scholars are members of the Class of 2017, which earned more than $15.9 million in college scholarships. Cruz Castillo ‘17 qualified for the National AP Scholar Award by earning an average grade of 4 or higher on a 5-point scale and grades of 4 or higher on eight of the exams.
AP Scholars with Distinction (average score of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on five or more exams) from the class of 2018 are Ugochinyere Ndukwe and Nicholas Robinson.
Graduates from the class of 2017 AP Scholars with Distinction include Taylor Belton, Jocelyn Billheimer, Jasmine Bovia, Cruz Castillo, Kyndal Fletcher, Lauren Holley, Emmanuela Houngbo, Arika Johnson, Zaria Kangethe, Erin Lyons, Aleah Markovic, Darius Moore, Emmanuel Ogunlana, Annie Perino, Sydney Reyes, Joshua Robinson, and Kalla Williams.
Fifteen more Marian students earned the AP Scholar with Honor Award with an average grade of 3.25 on all exams and grades of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams:
AP Scholars with Honor from the class of 2018 include William Brunner, Pamela Hamoay, Quinn Kirchner, Molly Roe, and James Szewczyk. Graduates from the Class of 2017 AP Scholars with Honor are Amir Ghazaleh, Kaela Harber, Ryan Napue, Anna Pechtel, Caroline Perrot, Erika Rangel, Mee’Shaunda Roddy, Anna Rolewski, Mayra Tiatelpa, and Rose Ybarra.
Finally, 47 Marian students earned the AP Scholar Award by completing three or more exams with grades of 3 or higher.
This group includes Class of 2018 members Steven Babick, Julianne Cappas, Karla Casillas, Andrew Deschepper, Ana Godniez, Jacob Hybert, Sarah Jackson, Lisette Kelly, Thomas Keslin, Chase Love, Scott Lyons, Haley Pratt, Ernesto Quiroz, Tolulope Thomas-Ailara, Alec Thompson, Alexis Wade, Tabitha Willis, and Michael Wolfe.
