Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)– The Rich East Rockets Speech Team competed at its first tournament this past weekend – the Reavis Yam Jam – against 24 other teams, at Reavis High School.
The Rocket medalists were senior Amy Okichich, who won a seventh-place medal in Verse Reading and junior Sydny Sanchez, who won a seventh-place medal in radio speaking.
Fatimah McMiller, a sophomore (Prose Reading) and Telisa Fears, a junior (Verse Reading), earned high scores as well, missing medals by just a few points in their individual events.
