Aurora, IL-(ENEWSPF)- In a show of support for those impacted by the tragedy at Henry Pratt Company, Heartland Blood Centers (HBC), part of Versiti, will host the Aurora Strong blood drive on Tuesday, March 5 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at its donor center at 1200 Highland Avenue in Aurora.

HBC will donate $20 to the #AuroraStrong Community Fund for every blood donation collected. The fund was created by the city to relieve the extreme financial burdens the impacted families are experiencing during this difficult time.

The Aurora Strong blood drive will honor the memories of those lost, their families and the heroic first responders who bravely protect us every day. For decades, Henry Pratt Company has hosted life-saving saving employee blood drives in partnership with HBC to help patients and make a difference in our community. We want our neighbors at Henry Pratt Company to know we support them and hope to bring the community together with the Aurora Strong blood drive.

HBC provides blood products to 71 hospitals in Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana, including Mercy Hospital in Aurora and Rush University Medical Center where the victims of this tragedy were treated. Local hospitals rely on HBC to treat people in emergencies, traumas and patients in need of blood every day. As we continue to heal, we encourage members of the Aurora community and the entire Chicago area to join us in supporting the families impacted by the tragedy.
