She graduated from Ombudsman High School, known for its personalized educational approach. She continued her education at Northwestern College in Bridgeview. There, she earned an associate’s degree in applied science in criminal justice, which she said provided her with a solid foundation for her career in law enforcement.
Rodriguez’s passion for serving her community began during her seven years as an asset protection manager. In this position, she honed her skills in safety and security. She developed a keen understanding of risk management and loss prevention. She attributes her experience in this role to a unique insight into the challenges of maintaining public safety and effective management practices.

In addition to being an officer, Rodriguez is a mother to her 18-year-old daughter, Jaylene Nunez. She stays active at the gym, and expresses her creativity through baking.
Rodriguez is the third officer to be sworn in this year. Officers Austin Behrens and Ryan Abu-Romman took their oaths in late January before families, friends, and fellow officers.
