Reginald C. Butler Jr., 30, 306 Seneca St., Park Forest, was arrested on November 20 and charged with obstructing a peace officer. He was also issued traffic citations charging speeding, no front license plate, defective (cracked) windshield, and expired driver’s license when an officer on patrol in the area of Niagara Street and Monee Road observed the vehicle Butler was driving allegedly traveling at a high rate of speed.
The front passenger side window of a vehicle parked in the Algonquin School parking lot was reported shattered on November 21.
Jameson E. Coulter, 31, 227 Allegheny St., Park Forest, was arrested on November 21 and charged with resisting a peace officer when officers on patrol in the 200 block of Allegheny Street checked on suspicious subjects who were sitting inside a parked vehicle at 9:21 p.m. Police observed open alcohol in the front passenger seat of the vehicle, according to police. Coulter was also charged with a felony fugitive from justice warrant from Lake County, Indiana, on a charge of possession of cocaine. During the investigation, another subject standing across the street, later identified as Otis Barney-Green, 19, 230 Allegheny St., Park Forest, began to scream out loud and cause a disturbance, according to police. While speaking with Barney-Green, Detective Obremski smelled the odor of alcohol emanating from his breath. Det. Obremski made a protective pad-down search and discovered a 1.75 liter bottle of gin on his person, according to police. Barney-Green was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of alcoholic liquor.
Taraine Blackwood, 17, 14929 Honore, Harvey, was arrested on November 22 and issued citations charging operation of a motor vehicle without headlights, transportation of open alcohol-driver, operation of an uninsured motor vehicle, and charged with consumption of alcohol by a minor and possession of cannabis when an officer on patrol in the area of Western Avenue and Hemlock Street observed the vehicle Blackwood was driving without headlights on. A passenger in the vehicle, Pierre E. Palmer, 20, 6 McGarity Rd., Park Forest, was arrested and issued a citation charging transportation of open alcohol-passenger, and charged with consumption of alcohol by a minor and possession of cannabis.
Randolph L. Tracy, 25, 1123 Grant Ave., Chicago Heights, was arrested on November 22 and charged with possession of cannabis and public elimination of body waste when officers responded to the 3000 block of Western Avenue to investigate a report of a suspicious person.
Brandon L. White, 24, 15933 Rowland Ct., Manhattan, IL, was arrested on November 23 and charged with attempting to obstruct justice, improper lane usage — one-way street, and processed on a warrant out of Will County when a detective on patrol on Ash Street observed the vehicle White was driving allegedly traveling the wrong way on Ash Street, a one-way street.
Two front picture windows of a residence in the 100 block of Monee Road were reported shattered on November 23.
Police responded to the 400 block of Titonka Street on November 24 in reference to a report of a stolen motor vehicle. The owner later recovered the vehicle from the Beacon Hill neighborhood of Chicago Heights, and discovered there was nothing missing from the vehicle and no visible damage to the vehicle. The owner related that he only wanted his vehicle back and requested no further police action.
Terry D. Lee, 57, 3388 Western Ave., Park Forest, was arrested on November 24 and charged with solicitation when police responded to Walgreens Pharmacy, 15 S. Orchard Dr., to investigate a report of a suspicious person.
Police were dispatched to Rich East High School on November 24 to investigate a report of battery. Police have suspect information.
The rear window of a vehicle parked in the 400 block of South Orchard was reported shattered on November 24.
The passenger side window of a vehicle parked in the 400 block of Sandburg Street was reported shattered on November 24.
Glen E. Bell, 45, 1919 Adams St., Chicago Heights, was arrested on November 24 and charged with one felony count of possession of a controlled substance. Bell was also charged with exceeding the posted speed limit, improper lane usage, driving under the influence, and possession of cannabis. An officer on patrol in the area of Main Street at Western Avenue observed the vehicle Bell was driving southbound on Western Avenue allegedly exceeding the posted speed limit.
Douglas E. Posley, 45, 176 Monee Rd., Park Forest, was arrested on November 25 and charged with domestic-related assault and obstructing a peace officer when police were dispatched to that address to investigate a report of domestic violence.
Dana R. Matthews, 31, 8 Bailey Rd., Park Forest, was arrested on November 25 and charged with registration suspended for insurance violation, open alcohol in the possession of the driver, and possession of drug paraphernalia, when an officer on patrol in the area of Western Avenue and Dogwood Street observed the vehicle Matthews was driving traveling northbound on Western Avenue. The officer checked the registration of the vehicle through LEADS and discovered that the registration had been suspended for mandatory insurance violation, according to police.
Donte L. Thomas, 18, 416 Concord Dr., Chicago Heights, was arrested on November 25 and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia when an officer was dispatched to the area around Rich East High School at 10:30 a.m. to locate several students who had walked away from the school, according to police.
Police were called to the 100 block of Washington Street on November 25 to investigate a report of criminal damage to property. In the course of their investigation, police discovered the interior of a vacant residence had been vandalized.
The driver’s side door of the vehicle parked in the 500 block of Chase Street was reported dented by an unknown item on November 26.
A window of a house in the 100 block of Westwood Drive was reported shattered on November 26.
Aaron P. Bowlds, 20, 346 Shabbona Dr., Park Forest, was arrested on November 27 and charged with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia, and issued a citation charging speeding when an officer traveling southbound on Western Avenue observed the vehicle Bowlds was driving in the area of 26th Street traveling at a high rate of speed, according to police.
A window of a residence in the 200 block of Sangamon street was reported shattered on November 27.
Police responded to a residence in the 400 block of Springfield Street on November 27 to investigate a report of burglary. Four cell phones and $200 cash were reported stolen. Police have suspect information.
The roof of a vehicle parked in the 300 block of Merrimac Street was reported dented on November 28. According to police, it appeared that someone had jumped on the roof of the vehicle causing the damage. The vehicle was covered in frost, and several shoe impressions were visible in the frost on the trunk, rear window, and roof of the vehicle, according to police.
