Park Forest, IL-(ENEWSPF)- The Park Forest American Legion will host its annual Memorial Day Ceremony on May 29, beginning at 11 a.m.
The program takes place at the corner of Main Street and Cunningham Drive in Downtown Park Forest and includes placement of remembrance wreaths in solemn honor of fallen service members, along with recognition of Park Forest veterans, informative details on the proper protocol for folding the American flag, a three-volley rifle salute, and live bugle rendition of “Taps.”
As always, numerous veterans will be present, including many from World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War.
Residents are encouraged to attend to remember those who have lost their lives while serving the country.
