Park Forest, IL—(ENEWSPF)—The Committee for Non-Partisan Local Government in Park Forest (NPC) will host a forum for candidates running for village trustee and library board on Sunday, March 9, at 1 p.m. in the Park Forest Village Hall. The election will be Tuesday, April 1.
Three candidates are running for the three open village trustee seats. Maya Hardy, Theresa Settles, and Erin Sloane all currently serve as trustees.
Two candidates are running for the two open seats on the Park Forest Public Library Board: Jessica Rodrigues and Joshua Travis. Rodrigues is currently a trustee on the Library Board.
The NPC encourages residents to attend the forum. Here, voters can learn more about the candidates and ask questions.
NPC Chairperson Chip Young will moderate the event.
“It has always been the mission of the NPC to assist residents with getting to know their village officials as they prepare to cast their votes. It is an opportunity for constituents to get their questions answered and to share their concerns with the candidates,” noted Young. “We are inviting everyone to join us this Sunday.”
