Low Cost Rabies Vaccine & Microchip Clinic

Cook County, IL-(ENEWSPF)- Cook County Commissioner Joan Patricia Murphy announces clinics providing low cost rabies vaccines and microchips for dogs, cats and ferrets.  The clinic is for Cook County Residents only and will be held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays beginning March 23 continuing through November 9, from 10 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. at various locations throughout the County. A clinic will be held in the parking lot of Commissioner Murphy’s office on Wednesday June 1, 2011 at 5405 W. 127th St. in Crestwood.

The Cook County Department of Animal and Rabies Control will provide the vaccine and microchips at the Low Cost Fees for dogs and cats of $7.00 for a 1-year vaccine, $21.00 for a 3-year vaccine, $9.00 for ferrets 1-year vaccine, and $10.00 for microchip identification.  Mobile clinic services will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.  Pet owners must present a valid Drivers License or State ID as proof of residency.  For public safety, all pets must be leashed or caged at all times.
