Mother Says, "Thanks"
As the mother of Wounded Soldier, Sgt. Daniel Casara I want to express my heartfelt appreciation on the wonderful article that was done on Danny (One Soldier's Story – Sgt. Daniel Casara, June 2, 2007). I have seen such a remarkable healing from the first time I saw him (one week after the explosion) at Brooke Army Medical Center to the current. His determination and tenacity is so wonderful. Never had I heard him complain – even though in pain. All the men and women serving near and far need our support, whether or not we believe they should not be over in Iraq – just continue to pray for their safety.
Sgt. Casara's story is truly amazing and I had only wished that his community, University Park and Richton Park (Rich South, the school he attended) would have honored him as other communities have done for their soldiers who have come home.
