Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)–March 26, 2017. Park Forest board members voted unanimously Feb. 27 to approve a three-year agreement with Jeff Ellis Management (JEM) to take over the bulk of the management duties of the Park Forest Aqua Center.
Jeff Ellis Management will provide support for day-to-day- maintenance of the aquatic facility and will provide staff, training and certification, first aid, safety and emergency equipment, and office supplies.
Park Forest will continue to collect fees from the sale of memberships and daily passes at the pool. The village will also continue to handle marketing and promotion of the Aqua Center. Additionally, Park Forest will maintain the grounds and landscaping along with purchase of water treatment chemicals. Any major repairs needed for the pool will be the responsibility of the village.
“Jeff Ellis Management has a longstanding relationship with the Park Forest Aqua Center; the company’s parent entity (Jeff Ellis Associates) has trained and audited lifeguards at the Village’s swimming facility for more than 20 years,” said Park Forest Village Manager Tom Mick.
On its website, Jeff Ellis Management describes itself as offering “a variety of services to aquatic facility owners looking for management solutions.” Jeff Ellis Management provides “lifeguard training, pool compliance, human resources, aquatic programs, and ongoing maintenance support to make managing day-to-day operations easy.”
The management company has over 25 years of experience, aiming to “increase safety, improve overall experience, and even reduce costs for aquatic facilities owned by government agencies, home owner associations, country clubs, resort hotels, water parks, local communities and more.”
Jeff Ellis Management expects to begin recruitment efforts for staff at the Park Forest Aqua Center this month. Staff employed by the Aqua Center in the 2016 season will receive priority for the employment opportunities.
