Park Forest, IL-(ENEWSPF)- According a report in the Chicago Sun-Times, “Two FBI agents were shot and a man they were seeking was found dead in a Park Forest home, authorities said.”
The incident happened in Rich Court, north and to the west of Rich East High School.
According to the report, the FBI agents had been trying to serve a warrant at the time. Injuries to the FBI agents were not considered life-threatening.
School District 163 posted a statement on its website, “We have been notified by the Park Forest Police Dept. that the situation on Rich Court has been resolved. Students who are walkers can proceed to school. The busses [sic] will resume transportation at 9:15 AM. School is in session. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have presented to parents, however the students safety is our first concern.”
