‘Income-Challenged Homeowners’ in Park Forest or Lansing May be Eligible for Free Weatherization of Their Homes


Chicago Heights, IL—(ENEWSPF)—Habitat for Humanity Chicago South Suburbs is currently taking applications from ‘Income-Challenged Homeowners’ in Park Forest or Lansing for $5,000 worth of free weatherization of their home. 

The work is done by a licensed sub-contractor and will include adding insulation to the attic, sealing leaks to the outside in the attic, a programmable thermostat, weather-stripping, etc. 

HOUSEHOLD INCOME CAN NOT EXCEED THE FOLLOWING GUIDELINES:

1 Person – $42,200

2 Persons – $48,250

3 Persons – $54,250

4 Persons – $60,300

5 Persons – $65,100

6 Persons – $69,950

7 Persons – $74,750

8 Persons – $79,600

This program is limited to those who own single-family homes.  Since there is a fixed amount of money available for each city, it will be distributed on a ‘first come; first served’ basis.

Applications must be submitted no later than October 28, 2011.
