Elk Grove Village, IL–(ENEWSPF)–February 18, 2016. Congresswoman Tammy Duckworth (IL-08) today announced $1,176,800 in federal funding to help the Elk Grove-based American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) implement the Bright Futures Pediatric program. The program brings together parents, healthcare professionals and community advocates to help provide comprehensive healthcare plans and resources for children and support parents in making informed decisions about the preventive health needs of their children.
“This funding will help the Elk Grove-based American Academy of Pediatrics continue its work to keep our children healthy,” said Congresswoman Duckworth.
This funding comes through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ (HHS) Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), which helps provide resources for family health services targeted to low-income, uninsured and underserved communities.
