Chicago Alderman Joe Moore Invites You to Enjoy Art, Food, Music This Weekend at Free Glenwood Avenue Arts Fest

CHICAGO–(ENEWSPF)–August 19, 2016.  From Alderman Joe Moore (Chicago 49th Ward):

Join me this weekend for one of the most popular neighborhood events of the summer–the Glenwood Avenue Arts Festival.  It’s a FREE, weekend-long arts festival that features over 140 artists, open studios, and live entertainment by 40 bands on three outdoor stages. Experience every variety of art, music, theater, food and drink on the streets of the Glenwood Avenue Arts District at Morse and Glenwood.

The 15th annual festival takes place this weekend (Saturday, August 20th and Sunday, August 21st) from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Find a gem from a soon-to-be-famous artist or pick up some holiday gifts from the ceramic and craft workers.

Some of the best music performers in Chicago will be featured at the festival. View the entertainment schedule.

If you have a City service request, or just want to say hello, stop by my 49th Ward Satellite Service OfficeBooth on Morse just west of Glenwood.

Also, be sure to check out the Friday Night Cobblestone Jam, the Glenwood Avenue Arts Festival’s launch party. The Cobblestone Jam will be held on Glenwood at the North Stage near the Red Line Tap at Lunt, this Friday, August 19th, from 6 to 10 p.m.

Finally, don’t forget to stop by my Follow Me Friday on August 19th from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Red Line Tap, 7006 N. Glenwood. We’ll enjoy some complementary snacks and a free beer, wine or soft drink and then step outside to the Friday Night Cobblestone Jam. Read more details.
