Park Forest, IL—(ENEWSPF)— Actors rehearse on stage in the Village Green Tuesday night for this weekend’s performances of William Shakespeare’s play, Much Ado About Nothing.
Etel Billig, Illinois Theater Center’s producing director, expressed her gratitude to the Village of Park Forest for making the free Shakespeare festival available to the residents, "Because of the generosity of the village, for several years now this has been an amazing way [the village shows] great support for the arts by funding, and making it possible, for us to do our free outdoor Shakespeare."
She added that this provides many people an opportunity to see Shakespeare for the first time, "We encourage families to come. But we couldn’t do this without the support of the Village of Park Forest. This is just another way they show how they believe the arts belong to all the people."
Performances run Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings, June 22, 23 & 24, beginning at 7:30 p.m. in the Village Green, Downtown Park Forest. Admission is free.
