Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)– Hydrants are flushed to remove rust and sediment from the water system. During this operation, your water may become discolored from rust. It is safe for drinking and cooking, but will stain clothing during washing. On your area’s date for flushing, the Village recommends that you do not wash clothes. If your laundry becomes discolored, keep the items wet and pickup free cleaner at Village Hall, 350 Victory Dr.
Flushing takes place from 8 p.m. to midnight. The schedule is as follows:
- Tuesday, April 26 – All streets north of Canadian National Railroad, Ash Street and Eastgate Subdivision
- Wednesday, April 27 – Between the Canadian National Railroad & Sauk Trail
- Thursday, April 28 – From Sauk Trail southward.
