Park Forest, IL—(ENEWSPF)—August 16, 2016. The Unitarian Universalist Community Church (UUCC), 70 Sycamore Drive in Park Forest, will screen the documentary film ‘RACE: The Power of An Illusion – The Story We Tell’ on Friday, August 26 at 7 p.m. A lively discussion will follow the film screening.
What is this thing we call race? Where did the idea come from? Explore the roots of the concept of race, including the 19th century science that justified it and how it gained such a hold over our minds.
