Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)– The 1950s Park Forest House Museum at 141 Forest Blvd, Park Forest, Illinois is decorated for a 1950s Easter from March through April. Open Saturdays from 1-3 p.m., the museum can also be open for groups by appointment at other times. Donation is $5 for adults; children 12 and under are free with a paying adult. Admission is free with the purchase of a Marshall Field’s brick.
Marshall Field’s Park Forest Store bricks are available for sale each Saturday from 1-3 p.m. for $15: 2 for $25. Visit the society website for information on purchasing bricks at other times, through the site, or by mail.
Decorations include Easter die cuts, honeycomb rabbits and baskets, plastic and tin decorations, children’s books and Easter baskets with candy available in the 1950s. Also on display is a set of hand blown, hand-painted eggs brought back from World War II Japan.
