People’s Action is co-sponsoring the convention. People’s Action is a national network of organizations in 29 states and more than a million people. “Revolution Iowa” is one of many “Protest to Power” events being organized from coast to coast.

“What’s happening in Iowa and across the country is more than a resistance. It’s an insistence that now is the time for a movement politics that goes beyond defense, and instead organizes tens of thousands of people to run for office,” said George Goehl, co-director of People’s Action.

“These are candidates running on an agenda that puts people and the planet before abusive corporations and their bought-and-paid-for politicians,” said Goehl.
