Sauk-Calumet Sierra Club’s December 5th Meeting to Discuss Cook County Forest Preserves Activities

MATTESON—(ENEWSPF)—December 2, 2016.  Due to a scheduling conflict, the December meeting of the Sauk-Calumet Sierra Club Group will be held on Monday, December 5 at 7:15 p.m. at the Frankfort Public Library.  Normally, the meeting is held on the second Monday of the month.

Jacquie Ulrich, Special Events Director for the Cook County Forest Preserves, will give a presentation about the new opportunities in the Forest Preserves, such as 5 new tent-camping and cabin-camping sites, plus canoeing, kayaking, and more.

Afterwards, the gathering will continue at Durbin’s in Frankfort for discussion and pizza.

The Library is at 21119 Pfeiffer Rd. in Frankfort, visible from Rt. 30, about a half mile east of LaGrange Rd.  For questions or better directions to the Library, email Patrick Coffey at [email protected].
