Rainbow Café to Screen Movie ‘Call Me By Your Name’ on May 18th at Trinity Lutheran Church

The Rainbow Café will meet on Friday, May 18th at 6:30 p.m. Due to ongoing repairs being done at the Unitarian Universalist Community Church (UUCC), the event will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2901 Western Avenue in Park Forest. The movie ‘Call Me By Your Name’ will be screened.

The movie tells the story of Elio, a precocious 17 year old, who spends his days during the summer of 1983 in his family’s Italian villa transcribing and playing classical music, reading, and flirting with his friend Marzia. One day Oliver, a charming American scholar, arrives as the annual summer intern. Tasked with helping Elio’s father, an eminent professor. Slip and Oliver discover the heady beauty of awakening desire over the course of a summer that will alter their lives forever.

Rainbow Café is a social gathering where LGBTQ adults and their partners and friends are able to socialize outside of the usual bars. The Café is open every 3rd Friday of the month from 6:30-10:30 pm.

Doors will open at 6:30 pm. Film starts around 7 pm. Soft drinks and snacks are served.
