Park Forest Commission Announces Awardees for Good Egg Award


Park Forest Commission on Human Relations to honor those who have gone beyond the call of duty for the “2012 Good Egg Awards.”

Park Forest, IL-(ENEWSPF)- The Park Forest Commission on Human Relations is pleased to announce Tammy McMahon, Thomas Mick, Alan Joens, Cindy Beringer and Jackie Smith of Park Forest as recipients of the 2012 Good Egg Award.

The Good Egg Award recognizes leadership and community service that has had a significant impact on fostering inter-group relations and equal opportunity in the South Suburbs.

In 1973 the first award was bestowed on the late Harry Teshima, who laid the groundwork that ultimately attracted the first African American families as residents of Park Forest. Today Park Forest is a community comprised of individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures.

The Good Egg Awards will be presented to the recipients on Monday, September 10thduring a ceremony in their honor at Village Hall, 350 Victory Drive, 7:00 pm prior to the board meeting. Join us for a reception prior to the ceremony at 6:00 pm in the Village Hall Foyer.
