Park Forest, IL—(ENEWSPF)–July 11, 2013. The League of Women Voters of the Park Forest Area will host their annual Summer Breakfast on Wednesday, July 24, 2012 at 9:00 AM at the home of Myrtle Martin, 225 Berry Street in Park Forest. Dr. Elaine Maimon, President of Governors State University, will speak to the group about the plans to transition GSU to a four year university, including its work to develop a state of the art freshman program, build the first student residences as living-learning communities, and enhance the quality of its degree programs through the Ph.D. level.
Guests are welcome and anyone interested in the topic is encouraged to attend.
The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan political organization which encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy.
